Galapagos Islands - Your Ultimate Destination!

The Archipelago of Galapagos Islands is probably one of the most famous places in the world when considering wildlife watching, a place where wild animals interact with humans as they were nothing more than another one of them sunbathing or diving. Giant turtles, sea lions, bubble birds with blue foot will be all at a short distance of you. Where else in the world would you be able to sunbath with a sea lion laying down next to you? The answer is only one - Galapagos.

The place is located about 1000 Km far from the mainland, and counts with a population of about 30,000 people, with most of them living in the Island of Santa Cruz. The group of islands is formed by 13 volcanic islands, 6 smaller islands and more than 100 islets, and is famous for being the place that inspired the evolutionary biologist Charles Darwin in writing his famous theory about the natural selection.

Named by "The Telegraph" as the trip of a lifetime, the archipelago for sure deserves to be in the list of places to visit of any traveller, and anyone going to Galapagos may be excited for exploring one of the few places left on the planet where human contact is kept to a minimum.
